Chapter Ride - Tortilla Flat

Event date:
Sat, 05/09/2026 - 8:00am

Some rides have scenery. Some have history. This one delivers both in glorious desert stereo.

We’re heading to Tortilla Flat, one of Arizona’s last authentic stagecoach stops and a true slice of the Old West. Established in 1904 as a camp for workers building the Roosevelt Dam, this tiny outpost once served as an important supply stop along the Apache Trail. Today, with a population you can practically count on one hand, it still carries that rugged frontier spirit that makes it feel like stepping into another era.

The ride in is pure Arizona magic. Twisting through the Superstition Wilderness, the Apache Trail serves up sweeping desert views, canyon walls, and the kind of curves that make riders grin inside their helmets.

And waiting at the end? A hearty breakfast, old-west charm, and dollar bills pinned to the walls from decades of travelers who’ve made the journey before us.

This isn’t just breakfast. It’s a ride into Arizona history.
